Imagine
going to a country with a culture that is extremely different from yours and
doing something for the very first time as a job. This might sound scaring, but
when it comes to reality life can be surprising and fun. It was exactly what
happened to Darya Dasha Nalimova, from Russia, who joined Shape Colombia in
2014 and came to Bogotá to work with children in a public school.

As you could see in the photos above, her experience was breathtaking and she had the opportunity to improve many skills, such as leadership and communication. Moreover, Dasha expanded her understanding of world cultures and shared her own traditions with people from a lot of places on Earth.
For the
Russian, one of the biggest motivations for somebody to come to Colombia should
be working with kids, because it is a great chance to change their views about
the world and help them to shape their future.
“You should come to Latin America to see how it works. For me it was so strange, crazy and fun at the same time”, says the International Cooperator.
